Amazon Ads Is Live in Cezium Ads: Data Cloud Just Lost Its Last Column

Last week, LinkedIn closed our last gap against Advertising Studio. This week closes the other one.
Amazon Ads is now a generally available Cezium destination — every plan, no extra cost. SFMC audiences, activated into Amazon's advertising ecosystem: hashed and matched from your Data Extensions, refreshed automatically, governed by the same consent fields as every other Cezium destination.
And with it, a sentence we've been careful never to write until it was simply true: every destination Data Cloud Ad Audiences supports, Cezium Ads now supports too. Meta, Google, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Amazon — that's the complete Ad Audiences list, and as of today it's a subset of ours. The four destinations only Cezium covers — TikTok, X, Pinterest, LINE — remain only ours, a gap we've written about before. The honest comparison table now reads: nine GA destinations against five, without a Data Cloud license, without $2,400 per audience per year, without one Data Space per brand.
Why Amazon, and why now
Amazon is a strange and important destination: not a social feed, not a search engine, but the world's largest shopping environment with an ad platform attached — streaming TV, display across its properties, and placements woven into the store itself. For any brand whose customers buy on Amazon (which, in the categories SFMC serves, is most of them), it does something no other channel can: it reaches your known customers at the moment of purchase intent, in the place purchases happen.
That's exactly why first-party audiences matter more there than almost anywhere:
- Suppression, first and always. Your existing customers browsing Amazon see your acquisition ads at retail-media prices unless you exclude them. With purchase and CRM data living in SFMC, the suppression audience already exists — it just never had a pipe to Amazon.
- Loyalty against the algorithm. On Amazon, your customer is one sponsored placement away from a competitor at all times. Audiences of your own buyers — cross-sell, replenishment windows, lapsed-buyer win-back — are the defensive line.
- Streaming TV with CRM precision. Amazon's video inventory targeted with lifecycle segments instead of demographic guesses: churned-customer win-back on the living-room screen, sized and timed by the CRM team.
And the timing is not subtle: BFCM is eight weeks out. The largest shopping event of the year, on the largest shopping platform, is precisely when purchaser suppressions and win-back audiences pay their annual maximum. Teams following our January-31 migration calendar can fold Amazon into the October connection phase and have it warm before the peak — and if you're structuring your peak around the BFCM parallel-run play, Amazon is a natural addition to the test bench.
What this means for the Data Cloud conversation
We'll keep this short, because the cost post already does the arithmetic. Until today, an organization comparing Cezium to Data Cloud Ad Audiences had one genuine trade-off to weigh: Ad Audiences reached Amazon, and we didn't. If Amazon mattered, that column could carry the whole decision.
That column is now empty. What remains on the Ad Audiences side of the table is the Data Cloud platform itself — a real thing with real merits for organizations committed to it across the business. What remains on ours: full destination superset, your existing Data Extensions as the source, consumption pricing, and a CRM team that stays the owner of the audience workflow. The comparison is finally about architecture and philosophy, not about a logo one side is missing. We think that's a comparison worth having in any QBR.
Frequently asked questions
Does Cezium Ads support Amazon Ads?
Yes — generally available since September 28, 2026, in all plans at no extra cost. SFMC Data Extensions and multi-source audiences activate into Amazon's ad platform with automated refresh and PII hashed inside Salesforce.
Does Data Cloud Ad Audiences reach any destination Cezium doesn't?
No. As of this launch, Cezium Ads covers the complete Ad Audiences destination list (Meta, Google, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Amazon) plus TikTok, X, Pinterest, and LINE.
What's the first audience to run on Amazon?
Suppression of existing customers from acquisition campaigns — it recovers retail-media-priced spend immediately. Then lapsed-buyer win-back and replenishment-window audiences, ideally live before BFCM.
Do I need to be an Amazon vendor or seller to use it?
You need an Amazon Ads account with audience access; Cezium connects to it like any other destination — OAuth in, audiences out. Your Amazon account setup determines which placements you can buy.
