Microsoft Ads Is Live in Cezium Ads: Search Gets Its Second Engine

Destination number ten: Microsoft Advertising is now generally available in Cezium Ads. All plans, no extra cost, same workflow — Data Extensions in, Customer Match lists out, refreshed automatically, hashed inside SFMC before anything moves.
Three weeks, three launches: LinkedIn closed the Ad Studio gap, Amazon closed the Data Cloud gap, and Microsoft opens a front neither of those products ever touched — because this one isn't about parity at all. Neither Advertising Studio nor Data Cloud Ad Audiences ever supported Microsoft. Your SFMC audiences have simply never had a native path to the second-largest search environment in the West. Now they do.
The case for the second engine
Be honest about how your search program treats first-party data today: Google Customer Match gets the full treatment — suppressions, RLSA-style layering, win-back lists — and Microsoft gets whatever survives the export queue, which is usually nothing. The result is a strange asymmetry: the same searcher, typing the same query into a different box, meets a version of your brand with amnesia.
That asymmetry costs more than it used to, for three reasons:
- The inventory grew. Microsoft Advertising isn't "Bing Ads" anymore — it spans Bing, Copilot and AI-assisted search surfaces, Edge, and the Microsoft Audience Network across MSN, Outlook, and partner properties. The desktop, at-work share of that traffic is exactly where considered purchases and B2B research happen.
- The CPCs are kinder. Less auction pressure than Google in most categories means your suppression and win-back audiences work at a discount. The searcher who costs €4 to reach on one engine often costs half that on the other.
- Customer Match works the same way. Hashed identifiers, include and exclude, bid adjustments — the mechanics your team already runs on Google translate directly. There is no new discipline to learn, only a second place to apply the one you have.
With Cezium in the middle, the asymmetry disappears structurally rather than heroically: the same Data Extension feeds both engines' Customer Match lists, the same consent field governs both, and both refresh on the same cadence. Build the audience once, and your search strategy stops having a favorite child.
The plays, in order
- Mirror your Google suppressions — today. If a list is worth excluding on Google, it's worth excluding on Microsoft. This is a fifteen-minute decision now, not a project.
- Win-back on the quieter engine. Churned and lapsed customers, targeted where CPCs make win-back margins work.
- B2B layering. Combined with last month's LinkedIn launch, B2B teams on SFMC now cover the professional funnel end to end: LinkedIn for presence, Microsoft for the at-desk search that follows it — both from the same DEs.
- Journey steps, as everywhere. Any journey can add or remove contacts from Microsoft audiences; the DE-bridge patterns apply unchanged.
Ten down
For teams keeping score against the products they're leaving: that's ten GA destinations — Meta, Google, TikTok, X, Snapchat, Pinterest, LINE, LinkedIn, Amazon, Microsoft — versus six on the retired Ad Studio and five on Data Cloud Ad Audiences. And per the pattern of the last three weeks: we're not done. Two more announcements are coming this month, and the next one is unlike anything currently on an SFMC integrations page.
Frequently asked questions
Does Cezium Ads support Microsoft Advertising (Bing)?
Yes — generally available since October 5, 2026, in all plans at no extra cost. SFMC audiences sync to Microsoft Customer Match lists with automated refresh; PII is hashed inside Salesforce before transfer.
Did Ad Studio or Data Cloud Ad Audiences support Microsoft?
No — neither ever did. Microsoft is net-new coverage for SFMC audiences, alongside TikTok, X, Pinterest, and LINE as destinations only Cezium reaches natively.
Where do Microsoft ads actually appear?
Across Bing search (including Copilot and AI-assisted surfaces), Edge, and the Microsoft Audience Network — MSN, Outlook, and partner properties. Customer Match lists apply across the network per campaign settings.
What should we sync first?
Your existing Google Customer Match suppressions, mirrored as-is. Same source DEs, same consent field, immediate spend recovery on the second engine.
